What’s The Ghost Who Loved Diamonds about?
In The Ghost Who Loved Diamonds… Danielle’s cousin Cheryl shows up to claim half of the family inheritance. To help draw interest to her new B&B venture, Danielle wears the now-famous diamond and emerald necklace to the open house.
Tell us more…
Once the crowds thin, Danielle agrees to allow Cheryl to try on the necklace. She immediately disappears with the necklace, and is finally found a week later with her head bashed in and the million-dollar necklace missing. Danielle is just one of the suspects in Cheryl's death, mainly because she has the best motive.
Why we liked it…
Bobbi Holmes has a great sense of humor as well as a talent for being able to draw you into the story and keep you interested. I really like that the romantic interest is more focused on the supporting character (at least so far), and the writer doesn’t seem to be following the “norm” of having the main interest be a cop who is always there to save the damsel in distress! Danielle has a century-old ghost who is able to help her out of the more dangerous situations. Am I against the “cop romances?” No, but it’s definitely a refreshing change to have something different.
A Final Word…
The Ghost Who Loved Diamonds by Bobbi Holmes (Haunting Danielle Book 2) is another fun cozy mystery in the series and I will be reading at least the next few.
